Does your go-to coffee spot want to send you to one of its rivals? It may sound odd, but a handful of shops are actively encouraging you to go elsewhere for coffee. It’s called the DC Disloyalty program, and you can now find DC Disloyalty Cards at six participating coffee shops – Blind Dog Cafe, Chinatown Coffee Co., The Coffee Bar, La Mano, Peregrine Espresso and Filter Coffeehouse.
The program aims to build community around coffee in DC by encouraging customers to explore the city’s neighborhoods and coffee offerings. Here’s a brief description from the DC Disloyalty website at dcdisloyal.tumblr.com:
